Students will thrive academically if they are engaged and excited about what they are reading. My goal is to help students get their reading level up to their current grade level - with Covid-19, many are far behind! Most items will just be used at school. If a student wants to take their books home, we will let them. The timers will be used to help teachers stick to the school day schedule. Every minute is critical and needs to be used correctly. The treats will be used to extrinsically motivate the students to reach goals in the classroom and in the intervention programs in place. I think this will help them move to being more intrinsically motivated once they feel success!

About my class
