Many of my students have deficits in their writing abilities. Having a variety of pencils and pencil grips will help give them confidence and build their writing abilities. Having readily available fidgets (the poppers) will help keep their hands and bodies quiet as we learn. Having clear, sturdy desk shields will help keep us safe as we work in close proximity. We have been given shields by our district, but they are cumbersome and easily fall over, which defeats their purpose. Plus the shields we were given are smaller in size and don't give my students the room they need to work.
