These desks allow for students to work in groups and collaborate with each other in math. New desks will help my students focus on the lesson instead of focusing on whether or not their desk is going to collapse while they are sitting in them. The desks we have now are older than some of the teachers we have on campus, and have all sorts of graffiti written on them. The new desks without the writing on them would help students focus on their work and be less tempted to write on the desks.
