These novels will enhance the learning of my students by showing them that language can be complex and interesting. Students will experience the use of figurative language, author's purpose, tone, and how the structure is used to guide the plot forward. Students will be encouraged to look at events that have happened throughout history (the Dust Bowl, immigration, migration, etc.) and how these events changed/enhanced the world we live in. Students will gain confidence in their reading and speaking skills through classroom discussions and group meetings as we study the literature.

About my class
