CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.4.10 5.5.1-Express curiosity about a topic of personal interest. The library is a place where students have choice in the reading material they select. New books bring in excitement, especially if they are popular titles. This is proven to be much more motivating in getting students to read. The items selected will help support all literacy standards in encouraging reading. Additionally, libraries are places where more than just reading takes place. Select items will make the library more welcoming to students and hopefully instill a life-long relationship between person and library as well as provide an opportunity for students to develop executive functioning skills and social skills in a fun way.

About my class
