Currently, my classroom only has enough calculators for less than half the class. My students often have to wait to use a calculator and take turns. Many students don't have resources to get their own calculators, as many count on the school for lunch and school supplies. These calculators would make sure each student would have a calculator in their hands while in the classroom. This project would increase students' calculator literacy. They will be able to have quick access to the same calculators they will use on the MCA's. Increasing calculator literacy will help more students be successful on state testing and in the classroom.
