Students have worked very hard for two school years now, learning in person with social distancing and masks required. They have not complained when recess and PE had to look differently, when they could social during lunch, and when Covid prevented them from participating in fun activities in the classroom. Now that we appear to be in a better place health-wise with many restrictions being lifted, we want to reward our students by allowing them some since of normalcy. We hope to purchase board and card games that would be available to all classes across grade levels that could be used for recess time and for motivating students to continue being successful. Students would be allowed to play these games with their friends, something they had previously not been allowed to do, while continuing to wear masks for safety.
