The supplies I am requesting for this school will be put together to create a multi-sensory environment. This multi-sensory environment will provide my students with a pleasant surrounding, soothing sounds and smells, gentle movements, and tactile experiences. This will be a place for students to use when they need to self-regulate. By donating to this project, our students will have a place to calm their body, and learn to deal with difficult emotions. The lights and bubble tubes will provide feedback to the visual system. It increases their focus and engagement to help them relax. The bean bag chair and therapy mat offer a safe space for the students to sit or lay while receiving sensory input from the environment. The pod swing and trampoline will give the students vestibular information to give them extra energy or calm their bodies.
