COVID-19 has changed the way we learn inside the classroom. My students need good-quality headphones to keep up with the daily wear and tear. Our class library needs some updating to keep students engaged. We go through a ton of red crayons to learn our Red Words through the Orton-Gillingham program. These things will help my students to learn and grow despite the difficulties the pandemic has caused. Headphones are used daily inside and outside of the classroom. In the past few years, we have used various types of headphones and earbuds. These usually end up malfunctioning due to wires being broken. We spend a lot of time listening to and reading books through MyOn. Students need headphones for several activities during class. My students would love the books in the Guided Reading Paired Studies. Due to the pandemic, my students’ reading levels vary drastically. To meet all the needs of my students, I have requested books for both 2nd and 1st grade. I have also requested the Kindness Book set. I feel that kindness is an important trait for all people to have. I hope that these books will help my students grow to be kind and caring adults.
