With the right technology, students are able to show their strengths and learning in a way that meets their specific needs. All students should be given the chance to show what they know, special education students included. The more special education students are able to prove to others they are more than a “sped label”, the more others will begin to see them beyond the label. An iPad in our classroom opens the door to an abundance of resources to support our students. The support that is needed is more than just academic needs, but to social emotional, fine motor, speech, and communication. Please help our special education class shatter the glass ceiling of special education.
