For over a decade, the school district budget has been cut and it has become increasingly more difficult to replace the aging outdoor equipment. The students love playing outside and participating in physical education. Some of their equipment is torn or popped, making it impossible for them to play games like soccer or hockey without goals or balls. I've been teaching PE at the school for the past four years and the equipment was there before I arrived. It is time for the students to get some new stuff.
Thomas Edison once said, “The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will involve the patient in the proper use of food, fresh air, and exercise.” By providing students with more resources for physical education and recess, they will be more inclined to enjoy the fresh air and exercise they are getting every day. This will improve their overall health and attitudes as they play and learn together outdoors. They will develop their social skills and improve their ability to work as a team while participating in competitions and different physical activities.
This donation will allow me to replace the school's aging equipment. The students will be so excited to exercise and play with the new equipment and this will result in improvements in their physical and mental health.
