I teach reading to students with dyslexia at a public charter school. We currently do not have chapter books to read for my class due to being a fairly new school with limited funding. Having a class library of Wonderstruck for my students to read will not only support the student's goals of increasing their reading fluency but will also help to improve reading comprehension. The descriptive language and detailed illustrations in Wonderstruck will keep even my most reluctant readers engaged in the story. The abundant illustrations aid readers struggling with comprehension difficulties. This will be the perfect book to keep my students engaged in reading.
