The resources I chose will help my students that have never been in school a normal year to have some hands on learning that does not require a computer. Most of the items I chose are for art projects or a puzzle. Due to Covid-19 these kids were never able to have hands on activities in the classroom let alone a small group. We are able to start having some centers and I feel that they need to explore. Art has been put aside and I want to bring it back. Due to the financial impact covid has had on our district and community, students do not always have their supplies and therefor we are in need of basics like crayons. Using technology has taken away from students learning to hold a pencil correctly and handwriting is such an important skill that directly affects reading. I’m hoping with all these hands on activities it will help not only my PT students but the rest of the class. I’m also excited to teach them coding. When my students were in kindergartners they did have access to technology, but they were not introduced to coding. This kit will be a great start for the class. This is what they have missed out on and I can't wait for them to make their own projects this year.
