The Marvel Universe of Mathematics is a whole new way of learning Algebra. Using the superheroes themselves as the basis of mathematical functions students will be engaged and excited to learn! Imagine creating a function to represent the speed that Ironman can fly, then graphing that function and finding his domain and range! Or the revolutions of Thor’s hammer and how far it can launch him. The mathematical comparisons in the Marvel Universe are limitless. The students will find in their favorite movies a never ending supply of functions to create! Making it fun to learn and connecting the topics with something they love is the key to making real understanding happen. Having an HD television that we can pause, start, stop, and analyze the movie frames will make this possible!
