Drumsticks are an essential supply in any band program. Over time, they get old and the wood will start to chip off and break as students use them daily. My students have a love of music and drumming. Everyday, entering the band hall you hear the drums. It is the first thing you hear in the morning and the last thing you hear before the end of school. I see them learning new music and expanding their skills as musicians every single day in the classroom, but to the students they see it has their passion and motivation to come to school. Donating to our project not just a donation of supplies, but it is giving students the opportunity to explore their creative ideas and encouraging their self-expression through music. Students will be able to play music that will inspire new ideas, challenge them in ways they have not been challenged before.
