Students in robotics are learning about using their ability to help others. We have embarked on a great endeavor to create an Office of Special Projects to aid those in our community that need engineering, design, and making services. One of our current projects is to make a powered wheel chair for a person in our community. Our new OSP is just getting started and we are currently in need of hardware to make some of the projects we have going. Giving students these hands on real world problems is the most rewarding and satisfying thing and educator can do. Our students use CAD, 3D Printers, machining tools, and hand tools to manufacture projects for community members. This once in a lifetime opportunity will continue to enrich the lives of those students involved and also those who benefit from them.
