My classroom is full of students who are excited to learn. We are lucky enough to be at a school where we have one-to-one technology. My students are able to work with Chromebooks to improve their learning. They are growing up in a time where technology is a prominent part of their lives. There are a number of learning websites that my students work with that help them improve their understanding of our different topics. They research and create PowerPoints, they work to improve their reading, and they watch math videos to better comprehend topics. It gives them access to things and places that they have never been and places that they may never get the chance to go. It can help provide them with background knowledge on different subjects. The headphones we currently have are continually breaking. The students have to wiggle the cord or twist the jack to try and make them work. Access to these new headphones will give my students the opportunity to use their technology to the best of their ability. My students struggle to complete their learning activities because their headphones continue to break. They continue to try to do their assignments but without the ability to hear what is being taught they are not fully understanding what is being taught. Having a comfortable working pair of headphones will allow my students to follow along on their learning activities and comprehend their lessons.
