These supplies would help promote the Carson City School District's Strategic Plan Objective 5.1: "Provide every K-12 student with timely opportunities for in-school and extended school programs that enhance critical thinking and problem-solving skills, improve academic performance, emphasize the importance of life skills attainment, and allow for hands-on application of skills." Our students will use these pencils, tape, glue - all these art supplies - to advertise and promote events for our school and community. They are working hard to bring us all together in an age where everything has become chronically digital. When they put in extra hours after school to brainstorm community service ideas and carry out plans of action, they can reap the benefits of these organizational and craft supplies. We can also make sure they stay hydrated! We cannot wait to see where these resources take our awesome fifth graders.
