These chess sets will be used in an after-school chess club that I am starting. I want to teach the kids how to play the great game of chess and give them opportunities to play against their peers! Chess has so many benefits, including learning strategic thinking, improved memory, as well as patience, and perseverance. Culminating in a chess tournament, complete with trophies and a chessboard for the winner, this project will get the kids away from their modern-day video games and back to some old-school gaming!

About my class
