Students who are beginning to read, start with reading books loaded with sight words and words that are supported by pictures. The books selected in my project will allow my students to read their sight words and practice reading skills that I will teach them. My students are eager to read! They look forward to selecting new books for their weekly book baggies. These new books will add to their excitement of reading. My students will also talk and write about the books they read. This will allow them to see the connection with reading, writing and speaking.
