A document camera magnifies objects and portrays images much larger for students to see on the smartboard. Using a document camera really enhances to writing process and allows students to better see the teachers modeling and letter formation. This is something that is used frequently in all subjects. I display worksheets and stories underneath so the class can see examples much easier. We also practice our sight word flash cards with the document camera and reading sentences. This is something that would help the students learn easier and be used all throughout the day in all subjects.
