Computers are used on a daily basis in my classroom, especially for using programs like IReady which are used to fill in the gaps that students are missing. By using the data from IReady, I am able to also see what types of standards that students are struggling with so that I can plan small group lessons to fill in their gaps. I have found small groups based on IReady data to be the best way to focus my efforts to improve the learning environment and abilities for my students. We also use google classroom as a class for assignments so that students are able to access the assignments even if they have to be virtual due to Covid. It also saves the school quite a bit of paper which means that we can use school funds for other things that are needed at the school. We also use the computers for projects and presentations in our classroom so that students can learn to put together a presentation as well as present it to their fellow students. By donating to our project, you will not only help my students to have access to computers, but you will also, you will assist my students in increasing their academic abilities through the use of programs that increase their knowledge and fill in the missing gaps. Students that don’t have access to computers will be able to have the same advantages that other students have. Computers are used daily in my classroom and I would love to have my students have the ability to use them, no matter their economic situation.
