Educators assess students' knowledge and skills on a daily basis. These assessments come in a variety of methods. Typically it has been paper and pencil. However, it is clear that there is a shift towards interactive, computer-based assessments. I see my students use technology within their classroom and there is a sense of comfort as they manipulate the keyboard and search to find something that peaks their interest. Having the ability to integrate technology into my one-on-one assessment will increase their engagement and allow me to better understand the skills they have mastered and what interventions they continue to need.
