Our students come to us with many different stressors and traumas in their life. Often times, they just need a safe and calming environment to reset and return to a balanced sense of well-being so they can then continue their tasks of learning classroom content as well as navigate the social and emotional landscape of interaction between peers, teachers, staff and family. Our Wellness center provides a safe and calming environment for students to use for a break to take care of some of their emotional and personal needs. With a variety of soothing sensory toys, visual ambience, sounds and comfortable furnishings, this wellness center will fulfill a critical need in the emotional wellbeing of our students.

About my class
