When Covid-19 hit Las Vegas, we were forced to shut down schools and go virtual. Virtual learning lasted a year. When you are teaching physical education online, there is only so much that you can do to keep the kids active in class. This consisted of squats, push ups, sit ups, and other exercises but took away all of the fun that we would usually have in an in person class. Now that we are back to in person learning, the kids are so excited to learn about all of the sports and games that they missed out on for over a year. Not only are these sports and games fun, but they teach the fundamental skills that we use every single day such as teamwork, respect, cooperation, sportsmanship, planning, and building relationships with others. When these students were virtual learning they were also missing out on building these skills. Hopefully with the help of these items, the kids can get back to having fun and building these skills again.
