Currently our students are struggling with comprehending a text and answering questions. The TIME magazines will show them how to comprehend a nonfiction text. I will create questions to go with these articles. Our fourth graders this year love anything and everything science related. On Teachers Pay Teachers there are several nonfiction and fiction comprehension games. There are also different worksheets they can complete during our small group time. I know my students would benefit from the many different comprehension strategies there are on Teachers Pay Teachers. We have several different learning styles this year. I know that the resources I gain from Teachers Pay Teachers will help meet all of their learning styles. This will also help me send purposeful homework home. It will also be easy enough for parents to understand and help with. This will ensure the students are understanding just how important it is to read with purpose.
