The games will be used to teach social skills. Many lessons are learned by taking turns and being a good sport. We have many students who have never played a game with their family and struggle with taking turns. It is also a good way to teach following directions. I will use it in group counseling as well as a game club. The Julia Cook books are all about different social and emotional learning concepts, from personal space to digital footprints to rumors and gossip. I have used a few of her books and they are phenomenal in teaching these concepts.
