The after effects of Covid are lingering, and it is still not safe for large groups of students to meet and compete. These materials will allow us to compete in Science Olympiad tournaments around the state, and maybe even the nation, in a virtual format. Much of the equipment has long been needed to help us prepare beforehand, and now can ensure we will a contender. Giving enthusiastic kids a chance to explore and delve into any topic they choose helps them discover strengths they never knew they had. Some of these materials will help them to show event supervisors they have built to the criteria and how they perform. Some materials will help with planning, design, and construction of this year builds within the given parameters. Finally, since Science Olympiad covers every science discipline, the materials will fill in gaps we don't teach at middle school, like electric circuits and coding.
