There are so many lessons of respect, courage, grit, responsibility, friendship and so many other life lessons my students will be able to learn from reading picture books. We will read the books in class and discuss the character trait and how we can incorporate it in to their lives. I truly believe that there are so many lessons you can from a picture book. My students were only in second grade when Covid-19 cut their education short that year. Then we have had shortened days the past two years. I feel like they have really had so many things taken from them. I'm trying to have some fun seating and fantastic books to share positive messages of gratitude, inspiration and leadership traits to help these students see that there is hope in the future.
