If this project is funded, these materials will be used to help classroom teachers assist their students in self-regulating in the classroom environment so missed instructional time is minimized. When students are completing heavy work in the classroom, they are still exposed to the content while their minds are given an opportunity to reset. When students are removed from the learning environment to regain self-control, they are missing out on academic content. If we can give students the tools to regulate where learning is taking place, they are still engaged in both academic and social emotional learning.
