Each student in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. I incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! Both the flexible seating and learning materials will aid my students’ in reaching their speech goals and furthering their education to reach their dreams! I want to set up my classroom to provide students with an environment to succeed. Our resources are minimal and the opportunity for growth is substantial. Flexible seating allows my speech students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During speech therapy sessions, they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. This flex seating option I chose will support my vision. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work. The learning materials I chose will allow my students to learn while keeping them motivated and engaged. They have expressed their excitement to play games but my resources are currently limited.
