Starting in a few weeks my science class will be converting to using choice boards for advanced differentiated learning. This means my students will be focusing on the specific areas that they struggle in science while choosing what activities, worksheets, labs etc. that best fit their needs and interests. It has a lot of start up work and is time consuming but is proven to bring scores up and help students learn in their own individual ways! These are the specific supplies they need and how they will be used! All of my students will need folders and they did not receive any because my school district supplied all of their supplies this year, and folders were not on the list. This helps them keep track of their own learning, set their own goals, and provide organization for their papers. We desperately need headphones so that students can watch videos, listen to the text that they are reading and allow them to complete tasks that require audio. The dry erase markers are great for when we play games on the class set of whiteboards I have. Regular markers were not on their school supply lists and are desperately needed as we do projects!
