Many of my students have not had the opportunity to read childhood classics. My goal is to provide the opportunity not only for them to read “Little House in the Big Woods”, but also to meet in Literature Circles where they will, with their peers, participate in student led discussions centered around the assigned reading. Students will develop discussion skills, habits of a good listener, and respect for differing opinions, which benefit them for years to come. The ultimate goal is to encourage thoughtful discussion while promoting a love of reading.
