Flexible seating is the best opportunity for my high energy first graders to be able to get wiggles out and still be learning. Studies show the movement keeps their minds alert and focused. At our school we are trying to create student leaders from a young age. Flexible seating will give my students the opportunity to make the responsible choice for them selves on the best seating arrangement, to provide the most beneficial learning environment. For the time being my students will just grab a notebook to have a hard surface to work on through out the classroom. I would love to surprise my students by providing different options of seating.
