In preschool, a child's job is to play and learn. In the classrooms I work in many of my students are focusing on the skills that they need to obtain before verbal speech. We work on basic communication through play, imitation, and lots of movement. These items would give my students a space to concentrate on communicating through play. Highly motivating items and a variety of toys and materials assist my students in using their skills through many activities. This assists in successful communication in similar activities at home and within the community.
