My classroom is going through a reading make-over to ensure ALL students are learning to read, using explicit and systematic instructions following the Science of Reading. These Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards will help provide hands-on teacher-created materials and books that will help my students practice the skills they are working on after an explicit lesson. With continuous practice, the students will master the skills they have been explicitly taught. The decodable books will combine the phonics skills they have learned. The hands-on materials are a mix of games and activities that go with phonological awareness, word mapping, and phonics skills they will be able to practice in a fun way. Also included in the hands-on materials, is a fun way to learn new vocabulary every day to help expand my students' growing vocabulary in a very explicit way. With these donations, I can help ALL my students grow as a reader in a fun and hands-on ways.
