My students don’t have a library let alone a space with comfortable seating to enjoy a book. It is difficult for many students to enjoy reading and more so when there is no space that makes it inviting for them to rest and escape into the world of books. My students will anxiously wait their turn just for the opportunity to sit in a lovely area where books and the imagination are endless. The timer and locks will assist in transitioning from centers and the locks will be modified and used for all levels of learning activities.
