The material will be used to encourage communication with peers at school and families at home. I will use the desk pets to reward students for meeting the goals they have set for themselves. The math materials will be used to support students where they are at in their learning so they can reach said goals. The Legos will be divided up for the students to create and use their imagination while working on communication and collaboration with their classmates; which is what my students need after most were not able to attend preschool due to the pandemic. My students are excited to be able to use the items as they were a part of my selection process. Lastly, the story books will be used to discuss our community workers and give students the opportunity to collaborate with their peers about what they may want to do when they grow up.
