Hello there! Thank you for taking the time to read my project post. My project is to help me build a more affluent, safer, and comfortable resource room. I am servicing 28 Jr. High students with special needs. The Chromebook would be helpful for my student that needs help during their research and writing their essay. One of my student's goals is writing research essays using computers. Some of my students also need extra support for writing, so it would be beneficial if they had computers to help them do their essays and meet their goals. One of their accommodation is typing their essays/sentences instead of writing. Chromebook has features to help my student write correct spelling, grammar and practice using the proper punctuation marks. Curriculum books for reading and writing would be helpful for our students, so my assistant teacher and I don't need to go to the internet and find resources and use our own money to purchase any writing materials. Also, I asked for a lovely setting sofa, so my student has a nicer sitting area during small groups while working on their reading goals. Having a welcoming and comfortable room is beneficial for our students. I also asked for a nicer cabinet to put all the materials and files. While we have a nice filling and storing area, the room would also look welcoming and nicer. The phonics reading materials would also be helpful for our students. We have been using resources from the internet and some donated from other teachers, and the resources that I have bought using my own money.
