These materials will be used to help students learn to manage their behaviors and feelings in a positive way in a group setting and in an individual setting. Through positive incentives, my students will learn to work towards their personal goals which can include self-control, appropriate behavior in groups, maintaining composure when overstimulated, and working collaboratively with their peers, counselors, and teachers. Items such as the sensory kits will be used to help children maintain self-control when they are feeling overstimulated. Journals will be used to assist students in expressing themselves.
