These relaxation rewards will be used as reinforcements for good classroom behavior and coping strategies. Many of the students I work with are dealing with trauma and are struggling to perform academically because of it, whether that is having a difficult time staying on task to acting out because they may not know how to cope with their emotions. Rewards for good behavior that reinforce the relaxation techniques these students learn with me in social work sessions help improve their academic performance and overall mental health and well-being! When students earn their behavior points through the PBIS system, it is crucial to have rewards and reinforcements to give them the incentive to continue their good behavior. I want my students to believe that school is a safe place where they can learn and thrive, where they can feel relaxed and secure and proud of themselves. Please help me provide them with the rewards they deserve for their hard work in social-emotional and academic learning!
