From "Beautiful Oops" and seeing and creating art from our mistakes, to pointillism lessons exploring the overlapping of primary colors to create secondary colors, I am working hard to create meaningful art experiences for elementary students and need help purchasing basic supplies to get the program off the ground. These supplies should last me at least this year and hopefully into next, while helping over 300 amazing elementary kids explore, create, and express themselves through art! I surveyed many seasoned art teachers, and these supplies were the ones they deemed crucial to providing a rich and diverse art program. The tempera cakes will be used almost daily, as we will be exploring primary and secondary colors during the first month. The second month we will be working on exploring color values and tinting paint from light to dark. The following project will be building on the value lessons as we study Van Gogh and create sunflowers in his artistic style. As you can see, supplies are so important to the quality of the art experience I plan to offer, and I cannot do it without your help!
