These materials align with Nevada Academic Content Standards and address learning loss as a result of the COVID-19 school shutdown. Math.3.NBT.A.3, Math.3.OA.D.8, and 3.NF.A.2.A. By addressing all these standards, we will be able to close learning gaps and help students succeed in the next grade. These books and whiteboards will be used during small group instruction and in station rotations, allowing students to practice math skills so that it moves from short-term memory to long-term memory. The reading standards to be addressed are RL.3.10, RI.3.9, RL.3.2, RI.3.2, RI.3.5 and RF.3.4. The diverse titles chosen will help students engage with what they're reading and increase comprehension skills.
