Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, students were not used to sitting in chairs for hours throughout the day like they are required to do now. The elastic chair bands give those students who have the wiggles an opportunity to move their feet while still maintaining focus.
In addition to this, if we need to go full distance learning again, the document camera is something that I can plug into my computer and use virtually while students are at home. I would like to use interactive notebooks to engage students in the content rather than just give handouts. The storage I have requested will aid with organization of items like scissors, glue, markers, highlighters, etc. I will give my students the independence of grabbing materials themselves and this is where the label maker would come into great use. For example, when we make a graphic organizer in our slope lesson, I will ask students to go get their notebooks from the storage and grab all required materials from labeled bins. Our learning objective is to be able to label the slope and the y-intercept by creating a graphic organizer as a visual.
