During the pandemic students could no longer sit closely and to help prevent the spread of Covid, one of the many changes was social distancing. To help with doing so, the previous music teacher placed down tape on the floor but unfortunately, the tape is not as effective now due to wear and tear plus little fingers picking away at it. So, as an effort to allow distancing and to help the kids remember to stay separated I wanted to try spots to assist them with finding and keeping their spots. Plus, they will be less distracted and be able to focus on the lesson. I also included velcro so that I can cover up the instruments we aren't currently using with a curtain as well as utilize the velcro to place a set of Boomwhackers on the wall for display and lessons. I also added handbells as another method to create and learn music. The clipboards will be used for writing and/or coloring assignments for students since we don't have tables in music. The dry erase boards will be used for practice. For example, students will learn about various clefs, music notes, and more. This will give them the opportunity to practice drawing their music notes and so forth. Finally, the bell to assist in getting their attention when the excitement takes over.
