Having students read novels of their choice at their grade level supports all of the reading standards for literature. They will complete projects to analyze all of the elements of literature for their chosen novel. They will also be able to create a selfie wall to suggest their favorite books to each other. This will create an environment of readers. Building a love of reading will create life long learners. They will become better at analysis and application to other content areas because they will be better readers by reading something they chose and enjoy.

About my class
