This reference material will greatly increase student access to materials and the ability to appropriately navigate research in our digital age. They will use the Oxford Classical Dictionary to answer important questions arising from their work in Latin and Classical mythology. At the same time, this excellent resource makes clear the difference between reliable academic content and unreliable sources. Students will use this resource to enlighten in-class discussions and as springboards for their own research projects. The Oxford Classical Dictionary provides succinct explanations and bibliographic material for every reference. A student can use this resource to settle an in-class debate about the name of Hercules' step-brother or as a place to find reliable resources to begin a research project on Augustus' Rome.
