These LEGO pieces will be used to supplement our current supplies. Currently, we only have the base kits to use for our competitions (FIRST Lego League Challenge), which drastically limits students' options when designing their robots and attachments. With additional pieces, students will not be limited by available materials and will be able to explore more complicated designs that continue to challenge them to learn more about engineering and robotics. Through FIRST Lego League Challenge, students are gaining not only exposure to robotics and programming, but are also developing ideas for real-world solutions to real-world problems. For example, this year's theme is Cargo Connect, where students are analyzing the supply chain and finding problems to solve. Along the way, they are developing collaborative skills that will serve them well in the future.
