So much in education has gone digital! However, I strongly believe that math still requires students to work it out! I am a traditionalist in a sense because I like to see my students' work, and my high school students love to write on their desks with colorful and vibrant dry erase markers. I encourage them to draw pictures and collaborate with neighbors when learning and reviewing abstract standards. Many students do not have the dry erase markers needed to write straight on their desktops. These markers will allow students to show their mathematical illustrations right on their physical, but limited, workspace.
