These materials will provide tools for my student to develop their functional play skills. The ability to label items is a huge part of functional communication. Having hands on resources allows us to facilitate these opportunities for our students. When our students are provided with a variety of items to play with and label, their vocabulary will grow. We will model appropriate play with these toys, as individuals on the Autism spectrum may struggle with these skills. Through multiple opportunities to play our students will continue to learn, grow, and thrive in their learning environment.
